Share ANYBODY’S picture on your Facebook Page

Check this out!
As a business, have you ever seen a picture of a personal friend eating at your restaurant or wearing your brand of clothes and wanted to share that with people on your business Facebook Page? These new settings allow you to click share “On Your Page.” Kinda creepy.
Here’s a video explaining what we’re talking about:
From a local business prospective, this is really great. It can help your business in Wichita or Colorado Springs really use Facebook more effectively to market to others. Ethically, however, make sure you have the person’s permission. Maybe you leave a note on that picture asking if you can share it. I’d always ask first.
Of course, if you have any problems, ask us. Shoot us a message on our Facebook Page here or visit our Contact us page.
Facebook Pages vs Profiles- What, how & WHY to change
Posted on March 31, 2011 in Social Media in Wichita Kansas by JuggleMedia
Facebook has constantly evolved over the years and as savvy business people in Wichita have wanted to connect their brand in the world’s largest social network, sometimes “doing it correctly” has been a challenge. Facebook has two main types of “Pages.” First, an individual person like you and me, are supposed to have a Facebook Personal Profile. Here’s what they look like:
Facebook Personal Profile:

-Reserved for actual HUMAN beings. Not businesses, dogs, cats, babies (I know they are human, but not over age 13) or anything not classified as human being.
-Must click “Add as Friend” to create a connection. If both people approve the link, they are called “friends.” The connection isn’t instant as both parties must approve.
-The Info area at the top of the page includes work information, education information, birth date, current city, relationship status and age.
-The Wall, or main feed, allows the user to share personal information, pictures and stories.
Facebook Page (a.k.a. Fan Page, Business Page):

-Reserved for businesses, interests, brands and locations (i.e. not a person)
-Must click “Like” to create a connection. When the user clicks “Like”, they are called a “fan.” This connection to the page’s information is instant. (HUGE if you are a business.)
-The Info area is under the Profile Picture on the Left-Hand side allowing for the more immediate and recent information to be shared.
-The Wall, or main feed, allows the user to share business information, pictures and stories.
-Businesses can add custom tabs that can convert people that visit the page to fans before they see any other information. Also, one can add so much information they could treat their Facebook Page as their actual website.
Thanks to our friend Cindy Kelly, an article by AllFAcebook.com and our awesome team at JuggleMedia, here’s why you should change your business Profile into a Fan Page and more important, HOW.
Why Wichita businesses should change a Facebook Profile to a Fan Page.
Facebook says:
“Since profiles are for meant individual people, they aren’t suited to meet your business needs. Pages offer more robust features for organizations, businesses, brands, and public figures, which you can learn more about here.
Further, maintaining a profile for anything other than an individual person is a violation of Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. If you don’t convert your profile to a Page, you risk permanently losing access to the profile and all of your content.”
How Wichita businesses can change a Facebook Profile to a Fan Page (and keep your fans!)
Step 1: Download your information from your profile by clicking here or follow these steps Facebook requests:
>To begin this process, go to your Account Settings page, then click the “learn more” link beside “Download Your Information.” From there, click the “Download” button.
Step 2: Follow this link to begin your page migration or follow these steps Facebook requests:
>If you would like to convert your profile to a Page, click here.
Be aware that when you convert your profile to a Page, your profile pictures will be transferred, and all of your friends will be automatically added as people who like your Page. No other content will be carried over to your new Page, so be sure to save any important content before beginning your migration.
The account associated with the profile you previously maintained will be converted to a business account, which will be the sole admin of your new Page.
Finally, if you feel you jumped into the social arena without a plan, contact JuggleMedia. We’d love to visit with you, help you formulate that plan and rock Facebook, Twitter as well as other social networks in Wichita.

Creative QR Codes Helping Japan
Posted on March 17, 2011 in Social Media in Wichita Kansas by JuggleMedia
QR codes are the next thing your business needs to begin incorporating into your marketing. It creates a link from a poster, billboard, direct mail piece or any other marketing piece that can link a mobile user directly to a landing page on your website.
Take, for example, the American Red Cross and their QR Code in the middle of the cross on the left. Hold your phone up to it with a QR code reader and the reader will take you to the web-address embedded into the code. This one takes you to a donation page on the American Red Cross website.
At JuggleMedia, we have several clients that are starting to embrace QR Codes around Wichita in their print pieces. We’d be happy to help you incorporate these dittys to get your audience connected to your website.

Here’s a great article from American Express OPEN for business owners in Wichita about marketing and how to continue the conversation, through social media channels and others, with customers. Enjoy!
Mar 15, 2011 -
“For too many small business owners, once a customer leaves your shop or your service is completed, the conversation ends. But it doesn’t need to stop there. If you can continue those threads of dialogue online through e-mail, newsletters, and social media, you have a better chance of building stronger ties to your customer base. This, of course, will lead to repeat business.” (Read More)
Twitter Explosion & Wichita?!?
Posted on March 15, 2011 in Social Media in Wichita Kansas by JuggleMedia
Twitter will be celebrating it’s 5th birthday here in a few days and while the tremendous growth worldwide is important to consider, what do businesses around Wichita need to consider when it comes to this rising giant?
Consider these:
- Twitter will soon be celebrating the fifth anniversary of the first tweet, and the company Monday released a set of stats showing how huge the service has become.
- It took three years, two months and one day to get to the billionth tweet. Now there are a billion tweets a week.
- A year ago, people sent 50 million tweets a day. On March 11, 2011, the tally was 177 million.
- There were 456 tweets per second after Michael Jackson died in 2009. That record was broken on New Year’s Day this year with 6,939 tweets after midnight in Japan on New Year’s morning there.
- There were 572,000 new accounts created on March 12, 2011; there were 460,000 new accounts created daily, on average, in the past month.
- Mobile users increased 182% in the past year.
- Twitter has 400 employees today, compared to eight in January 2008.
So what can that mean for a business in Wichita? Are we experiencing the same growth here?
The short answer, in my opinion is no. Twitter’s growth, along with other powerful social media technologies, are slow adopters in a mid-sized, conservative town. Sure, there’s the early adopters that have been tweeting for 3 years, but the masses aren’t signing up…yet.
Twitter’s Wichita growth is coming. More and more people are interested in the network as more and more national seminars, campaigns and social media consultants promote the 140-character network. At JuggleMedia, we are working with more and more local Wichita businesses to understand the technology; what it means, how it works and most important, what’s in it for my business.
If you have a hard time understanding Twitter, maybe this video will help. Click here. We compare Twitter, in simplest forms to text messaging and mobile devices. We believe it kinda helps.

Answer these 3 questions before allowing Facebook at work
Posted on March 11, 2011 in Social Media in Wichita Kansas by JuggleMedia
Your employees are starting to grumble and you’re starting to hear more and more about how social networks can help your business grow. The natural course of action would be to allow your employees to use Facebook to interact. It’s a win-win, right? They stop complaining and you get more business.
WHOA THERE! Not the case! Well, it could be if you know the answer to these three questions first.
1. What’s YOUR policy?
Yesterday, Chrysler fired their social media agency because one of the individuals that handled the Chrysler Twitter Account accidentally used an explicative while tweeting. That person thought that they were logged into their own individual account when tweeting the f-bomb. (Read more here)
You simply must have a social media policy for any individual acting on you behalf, as well as anything that is said by your employees during work hours. It protects you and gives you a tiny amount of protection. If employees know that they can in fact be fired because of their social behavior during work hours, they may act more professionally.
2. What’s THEIR purpose?
Are you opening up Facebook and Twitter to be more productive or to silence those squabbles? Are you going to lose productivity? Are you going to have a zoned-out secretary stuck on YouTube? Depends. Why are they there?
Two eyes watching all the social media activity around Wichita is better than one. A team of employees is much better than two. That team will be totally lost and ineffective without knowing their purpose. You must have clearly defined objectives for the employees using social media channels during work hours.
3. What’s THE plan?
You tell me? Seriously. You are the business owner or manager. It’s your team. At JuggleMedia, we with you to create a sweet plan for social media, but without you standing behind it, it’ll never fly.
So learn what the individual networks can do for your business. Each business type can use different aspects of the same social network to produce results.
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube are all incredible tools for you as a business owner to learn about, understand and embrace. You must know your reason for not wanting to open up social media channels to all your employees. Start with these three questions to begin formulating your plan. What’s the plan?
