Facebook Makes it Easier to Report Spam in Feed

Facebook just made it a lot easier to report spammy posts in your news feed. If you manage a business page on Facebook, this post is especially geared to you.
Do you get a bunch of posts from a business page that you “like” and it’s annoying? The easy thing to do of course would be to go to their page and click “Unlike” but maybe that’s too far. If you roll over the posting on your wall, you will see a little “x” show up in the upper right-hand corner of the post. Click it. This is what shows up:
Now, this is pretty sweet if you have some information that you’d like to hide in your feed instead of “Unliking” the page.On a personal level- it’s a win. However, with that recent “Mark as Spam” button, it now becomes easier for people to tell Facebook whether you are sending too much information, too quickly and spamming them with marketing materials.
Remember, communicating with people on Facebook is INTRUSIVE. They are inviting you into their home/life/wall, so if you are yelling messages at them all the time, all they have to do now is click “Mark as Spam.” Don’t be that kind of Facebook Page. Remember to post relevant information and not spammy messages. If you need help deciphering, let me know. I’m yours. Visit the Contact page to connect with me.
While you’re at it, become our fan on Facebook by clicking “Like” on the JuggleMedia page. We promise not to spam you. We’ll just give you relevant information designed at helping your personal and professional Facebook Pages.
Happy posting!
